Who IS INOV8?

INOV8 (pronounced "Innovate") is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based out of Louisville, KY with the purpose to provide an inspiring place for young percussionists to showcase their talent and grow as musicians and adults. We are dedicated to advancing the art of indoor percussion through bold, innovative design and riveting performance, while fostering a supportive environment where performers (and staff) can discover their identity, creativity, and potential.

OUR HISTORY

INOV8 Winter Percussion was founded in September of 2015, due to a demand in the Southern Indiana and Louisville area for a WGI based percussion performance ensemble.  INOV8 actually stands for Indiana / Ohio Valley. We competed in Open Class for the 2016-2018 seasons, placing 19th, 10th, and 5th at the WGI World Championships. In 2019 we moved to the Independent World Class with the production “Dreamers”, a show that had many calling us the “dark horse” of PIW. In 2020, we faced a pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we have remained inactive from competition until now…

IS THIS FOR REAL?

YES, INOV8 is back! Planning began in 2025 to revive the historic name under the same visionary creative direction that defined its success. With a new world-class instructional, design, and administrative team assembled, INOV8 is preparing for its official return to the floor for the 2027 competitive season; stronger, more intentional, and more innovative than ever.
